飯田ふるさと水引工芸館

長野県の南に位置する街、飯田は古くから「水引」のふるさととして伝統を受け継いできました。日本には、古来より”結ぶ”ことに特別な想いがあります。和紙を撚り色染めして作られる「水引」は、様々な祝儀や縁起の良い結納飾りなど、結びの心と手のぬくもりにより贈物には欠かせないものとなっています。

Iida City, located in the southern part of Nagano Prefecture, has long been the home of Mizuhiki. From ancient times, people have attached special meaning to the word "musubu", which means to "connect" or to "tie" in Japanese.
